Mangas & Animes
If you have visited my Ph.D. research page, you’ll know that I’m quite into mangas and animes, especially animes. Here, I will focuse almost exclusively on the historical evolution of this form of popular entertainment and its import in Switzerland. Some of the content here draws on the researches I have performed for my academic researches, while some of it will also serve my dissertation.

III. Associations and Forums
- Yume: Recently founded Geneva-based association for the promotion of Japanese modern entertainment and popular culture. (only in French)
- Rising Sun Production: a very active Swiss-German association devoted to the promotion of Japanese popular entertainment, with a focus on mangas, animes and video games. One of its main achievement is the organization of the yearly JapAniManga Night event, which will take place for the 8th time on May 30, 2008. It has also created a very lively and frequently visited forum called MangaForum.org. (Mostly in German and often in Swiss-German)
